Les Vacances des choses II

Very nice use of composition and light. Immediately the tap appears very confronting; the light that highlights its form is very powerful, creating a high contrast.
Along with highlighting the tap, I feel as if the light conveys this sombre yet warm atmosphere to the image; rather than being particularly bright, it shines a warm, yellow-ish glow; however, in combination with the deep blues, the conflicting moods combine to create this sad, wistful atmosphere.

The soft glows of the background and the soft, tired forms of the rag and shading add to this mood, further conveying that sadness.

Again, lovely use of those colours and the light; the feelings they bring out together are quite captivating and, although rather hard to pin down, there's something quite special about them.
